2314. The Steampunk House

The Steampunk House is the home and renovation project of Bruce and Melanie Rosenbaum in Sharon, Massachusetts. They've restored this 1901 Craftsman style Victorian to include classic beauty in salvaged, reclaimed, and refinished items updated with modern functionality.

One example in the house is the kitchen where the kitchen island is a restored 1800s printers desk and walnut pedestal base with added brass kickplates and trim. There's also a copper water tank converted to hold filtered water for the family and their dogs.

The house also contains refurbished/updated antiques like the kitchen wood burning stove, and main cooking stove. Modern entertanment electronics hide behide a restored fireplace mantle and insert. Salvaged tin is used as wainscoting.
